Working with an interdisciplinary team of development strategists, planners, transportation engineers and architects, our team crafted the land-use framework, masterplan, and urban design guidelines that are steering Cranbrook’s Downtown Revitalization. The result is a clear, implementable vision that realigns streets for walkability, concentrates mixed-use infill around key corners, and stitches greenways into the civic core—all while safeguarding the town’s historic character. Central to the strategy is a new Cultural Trail that threads public art, heritage landmarks, and gathering spaces along an intuitive pedestrian spine, turning everyday journeys into immersive encounters with Cranbrook’s stories and spirit. By integrating policy, mobility, and placemaking into one cohesive roadmap, the plan equips Cranbrook to attract investment, nurture local culture, and reignite the downtown as the social and economic heart of the Kootenays.
