Originally constructed in the late 1970s, Fairmount Shopping Centre is a suburban retail strip mall that has evolved through multiple phases of redevelopment. Kumlin Sullivan Architecture Studio was engaged to refresh the existing façade and explore opportunities to further maximise the site’s commercial potential.

The updated façade design was conceived to reinvigorate the retail experience and elevate the mall’s visual identity, particularly for passing motorists. A striking illuminated beacon element anchors the design, drawing attention to the tenant mix while preserving the weather-protected pedestrian environment.
