Origins at Marine Drive is a proposed brownfield redevelopment of a +/- 1 acre site along Mackay Creek on Marine Drive. The proposed development expands the uses from hospitality, commercial, and automotive to mixed use including two multi-residential towers. With future redevelopment planned for the adjacent Capilano Mall site, the proposed residential towers of Origins at Marine Drive have been conceptually designed to demonstrate the potential opportunities for the site. An internal laneway bisecting the podium and landscape areas bordering the site provide cues for articulated podium edges and massing with lower terraces transitioning the tower forms to the ground-level. The project is commencing a dialogue with the City of North Vancouver that will imminently lead to a Development Permit application and with proposed modifications to the Official Community Plan in the near future.
